General FAQs

1A button is stuck or non responsive (power, vol+, vol-)
Please contact your nearest eSTAR customer service center.
It is a mechanical damage therefore the customer pays for the repair of the device.
2The charger doesn`t charge my device
The problem might be the charging cable/adapter or the USB port has been broken.
Please contact the nearest eSTAR customer service centre.
If the problem is with the charger adapter, the service will replace it for free. If the USB port has been broken the customer is liable for it and thus will have to pay for the replacement.
3I want to root my device, can you provide ROM?
Rooting your device will void your warranty.
eSTAR doesn`t provide ROM to its customers.
eSTAR software suite programs are designed just for authorized eSTAR services.
4Facebook doesn’t work on my device
Download and install Facebook Lite application or other third party Facebook application.

Tablets

1I forgot the password on my tablet and I can`t access it
First of all find out the tablet model
Most often combination: power button + VOL+. Press them down at the same time and hold for 10 seconds until eSTAR boot logo appears. After Android BIOS window appears, use VOL+/VOL- button to choose “wipe data/factory reset mode” and “select delete all user data”. This will delete all user information and and reset tablet`s factory settings.
If you are still unable to reset the factory settings and access the tablet, please contact your nearest eSTAR customer service centre.
2Can I update the Android KitKat or some other Android version into Lollipop or other version?
Sadly there is no way to update it.
eSTAR tablets have OTA (over-the-air: wireless delivery of new software) function, however it is only offering updates for the same Android version which is installed in your device, meaning that Android KitKat can only be updated to a newer Android Kitkat version.
3The OS won`t start, only the eSTAR boot logo is visible
Use the combination of Power + VOL- and if Android BIOS window opens, reset factory settings.
If it doesn`t work, please contact the nearest customer service centre.
